2.1 Bookings (Smoobu)
When you make a booking or send a booking inquiry through our Website, this is processed using Smoobu, a booking and channel-management service provided by Smoobu GmbH.
- Data collected: name, email address, phone number, address, arrival/departure dates, number of guests, and any other information you provide during the booking process. Payment details, where applicable, are processed by Smoobu or its integrated payment provider — we do not store your card details ourselves.
- Purpose: to process your reservation, manage availability, communicate with you about your stay, and fulfil our contractual obligations.
- Legal basis: performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract).
- Retention: booking data is kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the booking and to comply with legal/accounting obligations (e.g. tax retention periods).

2.2 Website Analytics (Matomo, anonymized)
We use Matomo (hosted via Mediebruket) to understand how visitors use our Website, so we can improve it.
- Data collected: pages visited, time spent, referring website, browser type, approximate location (country/region level), and general device information.
- Anonymization: Matomo is configured to anonymize your IP address and does not use cookies to track you across visits. No data is shared with third parties, and no cross-site or cross-device tracking is performed.
- Purpose: to generate aggregated statistics about Website usage.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding and improving our Website. Because Matomo is configured for privacy-friendly, anonymized, cookie-free tracking, it does not fall under the consent requirement in ekomloven § 2–7b, which only applies to storing or accessing information on your device (i.e. cookies). If your Matomo setup does use cookies or stores any identifiers on the user’s device, consent must be obtained via the cookie banner instead.
- Retention: aggregated statistics are retained forever, but are anonymized.
2.3 Advertising (Google Ads)
We use Google Ads to promote our Website and measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.

- Data recipient: Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and/or relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as a safeguard for such transfers.
